《媽媽的寶貝》劇情簡介
愛好天文的杰弗里（喬恩?海德 Jon Heder 飾）幼年喪父，這令他和母親簡（黛安?基頓 Diane Keaton 飾）之間更加互相依賴對方，已經29歲的杰弗里仍然和母親住在一起，在父親好友書店中的工作早已讓他厭倦，但習慣了母親照顧的杰弗里并沒有改變生活的想法。簡新近結識了一個男友麥特（杰夫?丹尼爾斯 Jeff Daniels 飾），二人的關系迅速發展，麥特不久就侵入了杰弗里的“領地”，此時剛結識了餐廳駐唱姑娘諾拉的杰弗里拒絕了對方的示意，將自己三年未有約會的記錄繼續了下去，杰弗里自感將要失去母親，于是向麥特展開了反擊，連諾拉也被卷入了這場家庭戰爭。杰弗里和麥特的對峙逐步升級，而他不期然體會到了和諾拉相處的快樂，諾拉和麥特的出現，令大男孩杰弗里成長了起來……
