《宕機警察第一季》劇情簡介
背景設置在近未來，主角是高級督察John Major及Roy Carver（Daniel Mays及Stephen Graham飾 ）；John及Roy是隊中的滅罪精英拍檔，但當一次臥底任務出錯并造成John殉職后，警隊因認為他是不可或缺的重要「資產」，于是決定把John的意識轉移到一個實驗性人工智能項目，使主角復活過來。
問題是，John Major 2.0雖然看似原版貨，但其實在意識轉移過程中漏失了不少東西，現在他的傲慢舉動及過份熱心的態度仍在，但破案直覺卻通通丟掉了。
