這是ABC在女性為主的警察題材電視劇上的又一次嘗試（上一部《非凡警察》叫好卻不賣座）。該劇將目光投向五個剛剛從警察學院畢業的年輕人－－他們有活力，充滿抱負，渴望能在工作崗位上大展拳腳。然而一切會像他們想象的那樣順利嗎？從穿上警服的第一天開始，這群「菜鳥警察」便一頭栽進了處處充滿危險的世界。在這個世界里，哪怕是最細微的失誤，都可能造成最不幸的結果。傷心、悲痛、憤怒、無助、彷徨……這些更是他們每天都必須面對的東西。
