該劇是迪士尼頻道2010年開播的家庭題材情景喜劇。故事圍繞六口之家Duncan一家展開。原本已經有三個孩子的Duncan夫婦又生下第四個孩子，可愛的女孩Charlotte，大家都叫她Charlie。姐姐Teddy拿起DV攝像機，記錄下Charlie成長中所經歷的以及這個家中所發生的一切有趣、有意義的事情，以便在Charlie長大后讓她看到她的成長之路，并給予她一些生活的建議。這是迪士尼頻道近年來少有的一部以家庭為中心的情景喜劇。
