蒂姆（達倫·伯伊德 Darren Boyd 飾）年逾三十，可無論是事業上還是人生中，都只能用“一無所成”來形容，為此，他在他九歲兒子馬庫斯（裘德·懷特 Jude Wright 飾）眼中的地位可謂是一落千丈。為了重新樹立在兒子眼中的高大全形象，蒂姆毅然決然的辭掉了自己那份毫無前途可言的工作，但之后要做些什么，蒂姆心中一片迷惘。
